Start sanding!!!
The planeing is done. Now the simple problem is to make the mast round. A curved sanding block is constructed out of scrap that can hold big strips of sandpaper. The sand paper is glued on, and off I go. The mast was done first with 24 grit, then with 80. It could have been done again with say 150, but I was tired, and we needed to varnish the whole thing at least 5-7 coats.
