Portside first bulwork plank
The bulwork planks are lapped and bolted together, then screwed to the stanchions. This creates the fairest curve possible, and you can access the nuts if you must replace a plank. The "haulshole" is lined with a unique cast bronze trim piece. Fitting here is critical.
