Repair of forward house all walls and cornerposts
All walls and cornerposts of the forward house were replaced. The corner posts were made of African Teak, the walls of pattern grade Mahogany. The outside house top planking was removed and replaced to facillitate corner post access. Here the house top has been stripped of canvas and the hatch combing. The canvas will go on top of irish felt, and be painted at least 5 coats before the combings are replaced. New hatches will be built.
