Cap rail at chain plates
A small deviation from the original cap rails is devised in the chain plate area. Two short pieces are fitted, one inside and one outside. The insdie piece sits upon the galavized belaying pin angle iron. The outside piece is screwed to the inside piece. The mating caprail pieces are scarfed at a bevel and bolted. This is much stronger, a better fit and more maintainable than the original assembly.
