Bail fitting
Suprizingly a most painstaking and time consuming effort is to fit the bails to the mainmast taper above the trestle. The taper is significant, but if I over trim, then the bails will be sloppy and work against the mast. Neither the bails nor the mast are exactly round. And what about the seven layers of varnish now planed away? We settle for three quick coats of Zspar 101 marine white.
