Spectacle piece fitting
The spectacle piece for the main mast is almost the same as the spectacle piece from the fore mast. Everything is done in mimic. First I put together the fore mast pieces, then I fit the main mast pieces in a similar manner. The guy who dissasembled the spars is long gone. We have about 50 pictures of the previous assemblies, and I took pictures of the groups of iron before galvanizing. No labels will make it through the acid bath and the galvanizing.
